According to the Japan Electronics Industry Association circuit (Japan Electronics Packaging Circuits Association; JPCA) latest statistics show ( with the number of employees in enterprises with more than 50 objects ) , in August 2013 the Japanese printed circuit board (PCB; hard board + soft board + module substrate ) yields fell compared with the same month last year by 21.5% to 1.099 million square meters , the 12th consecutive month showing declining ; yield fell 8.3% to 42.728 billion yen , the 13th consecutive month showing decline. Cumulative January-August 2013, PCB production in Japan fell 25.9 percent from a year earlier to 8.42 million square meters , the yield decline by 21.2% to 3,201.16 billion yen.

On the species , the August Japan hardboard (Rigid PCB) production fell compared with the same month last year by 8.6% to 835,000 square meters , the 12th consecutive month showing declining ; yield fell 5.6% to 27.655 billion yen , the 13th consecutive month showed decline. FPC (Flexible PCB) production declined significantly by 49.0% to 214,000 square meters , the 10th consecutive month showing declining ; yield fell by 17.6% to 5.376 billion yen , the 10th consecutive month showing decline. Module substrate (Module Substrates) yields decline by 24.2% to 50,000 square meters , the yield fell by 10.1% to 9.697 billion yen .

Cumulative January-August 2013 the Japanese rigid board production fell 15.3 percent from a year earlier to 6.651 million square meters , the yield decline by 17.7% to 2,151.53 one hundred million yen ; soft board production declined significantly by 53.0% to 1.394 million square meters , yield fell 28.7 percent to 39.114 billion yen ; module substrate production decline 30.8 percent to 376,000 square meters , the yield decline by 26.9% to 65.849 billion yen .
